Yes, and recently, I am crashing more doing things which never crashed my PC. Just browsing the internet is excruciating and games are constantly crashing with "Send error report to microsoft", Like they are keeping track of the sabotage.

I am not paranoid. I know my systems. I use them every day. Since Windows 7 and now the pre-release of windows 8... My perfectly fine XP is slowly degrading to being unmanageable. Even note-pad seems to take longer and longer to load, and has crashed twice. Notepad, the least critical element in windows... Only thing new on here is Microsofts "critical" updates. (Defragged regularly, actively virus scanned, and malware blocked in every direction. Only malware now is windows updates.)

If windows 7 wasn't about to be abandoned too... and if it worked on my computers... I would use it. However, win-7 is a PC killer here, since the hardware I have is no longer being developed for. No driver support = win-7 useless. (Unless you want to use windows "compatible-drivers", which are a downgrade that forces hardware to operate a minimum compatibility.

What makes any new windows version fast, is two things...

Fresh installs, (Which are only fast because there are no large complex "hives", registry-archives, uninstall libraries, index-files, fragmentations, etc... no "junk".)

And...

Major insecurities, (Known, and unknown "holes", which require "Slow patches" and "Slow watching", to restore security. Those holes are there on purpose, where MS knows that fixing the holes will dramatically slow down the entire OS. SO it always seems fast and responsive at first, like a guard running through a mine-field... He runs fast if you don't tell him there are mines in the field... then he runs slow, once he knows... checking for mines with a metal detector... inch by inch, instead of leaping strides.)

Time to switch to linux... (Since apple is just linux anyways, but with disabilities. Like it is just an IBM now, not an actual apple, just with disabilities.)
